"Intorah" is a collection of classes and group learnings I have conducted over the last twenty years of teaching in Israel.
My own spiritual evolution has taken me through teaching Talmud and Halacha to Rabbinical students, Chumash and Midrash, Maharal, Chassidut and Rav Kook to varied audiences, into facilitating personal and group processes of transformation through Torah teachings. Currently I am focused on developing groups which practice Jewish meditation and deepen tefilla. In this site you can get a taste of some of the things I do, and I am grateful to G-d that He has blessed us with the internet as a medium for sharing.
If I can locate a common practice which all these teachings derive from, I think it is introspection.
Introspection, the practice of learning who we are by investigating within, is a path encouraged by one who, through suffering, came to know himself: Iyov: "from my own flesh I will know Gd". Our essential being, the deepest reflection of Gd's image, is where much of my teaching begins and I intend, throughout, to reveal, as best I can, who we are-as a path to knowing Gd. My guides have been numerous, but primarily the Maharal-the mystic Rabbi of Prague-, the Admor Ha'zakein-the founder of contemplative Chassidut-and Rav Kook-a deep innovator in introspective Torah thinking
In my own path I have consistently sought pathways connecting mind and heart, such that what I know should never be bereft of invested emotional life and expression in joyous and considered living. Much of what I teach is derived from serious learning, practice and experience with students and I pray you will find in it inspiration to move inward to deeper awareness and communion with Hashem, and outward, towards greater intimacy and connection with others
